ASUS ZenWiFi mesh setup

AiMesh and ZenWiFi kits differ. Use the QSG for that exact model before you mix nodes from another ASUS line.

  1. Find the model on the node label before you open ASUS Router app.
  2. Connect only the primary unit to the modem or ONT. Leave satellites unplugged until the app asks for them.
  3. Create the network in ASUS Router app. Do not type the Wi-Fi password into MySpeedGauge.
  4. Pair one satellite nearby, update firmware, then move it using the floor planner.
  5. If the ISP gateway still routes, use bridge mode or access-point mode as that model’s guide describes.
